Must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect safety, quality, machine uptime, production efficiency, continuous improvement, etc. The Maintenance Supervisor will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervise and Lead Maintenance Team:\nOversee and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.\nSchedule and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.\nEnsure that team members are properly trained on equipment, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.\nPreventive and Corrective Maintenance:\nDrive and implement the MOS maintenance program to reduce the risk of equipment failures.\nSupervise corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and provide technical support as needed.\nMaintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and downtime for continuous improvement.\nDrive PM compliance and 5S programs.\nEvaluates departmental constraints and implements Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve capacities.\nEquipment Management:\nMonitor the condition of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of assets.\nEnsure that all equipment complies with safety standards and regulations, including regulatory compliance for the facility and machinery.\nManage spare parts inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies.\nSafety and Compliance:\nEnforce safety protocols and ensure the maintenance team follows all safety regulations and company policies.\nConduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.\n Collaboration and Communication:\nCollaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize impact on production schedules.\nCommunicate with other departments (production, engineering, etc.) to coordinate maintenance and repair priorities.\nReport on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and any issues that impact production to upper management.\nChampions change and facilitates team related functions to improve the business performance.\nEnsures compliance with the plant policies and procedures including requirements for TS16949 and ISO14001\n\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.\nExperience:\n5+ years of experience in a maintenance role in a heavy manufacturing environment.\nAt least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role managing a team of maintenance technicians.\nStrong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and systems in a manufacturing setting (e.g., CNC machines, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.).\nSkills and Competencies:\nStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.\nProficient with SAP and MS Office Suite.\nAbility to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.\nStrong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.\nCertifications (preferred but not required):\nMaintenance or Engineering certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance Manager, Certified Maintenance Technician).\nSafety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR).\nWork Environment:\nThis position will require the individual to work in a heavy manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, tools, chemicals, and potentially hazardous materials. Proper safety equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times.\nThe anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Huntington, IN is $60,200 - $90,400 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Bendix is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies.
