We take our work seriously and have fun while doing it. Both are equally important.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nWork directly with Rory (CEO) & Kieran (CTO) - to get done whatever needs to get done. You will be asked to execute projects ranging from \"ensuring there are always snacks in the office\" to \"managing Knot's board of directors.\"\n\nJoin the CEO in meetings, calls, and at events, as well as in some cases attend in his stead.\n\nExtend the CEO’s reach, impact, and clarity of communication throughout the company.\n\nSelect responsibilities may include:\nCoordinate and follow up with key individuals on the CEO's behalf (e.g. employees, customers, investors, and candidates) via email, calendar, and Slack.\n\nArrange in-office events in Knot’s beautiful 4,000 sq. ft. NYC office (Flatiron).\n\nCoordinate CEO's attendance at conferences and events in NYC and across the country.\n\nCreate deliverables for important lines of communication and projects, both internal to the company and externally (e.g. decks, write-ups, research, etc.)\n\nLead on day to day operational finance (taxes, expenses, payroll etc) as well as playing a key role in strategic finance projects (fundraising for example)\n\nLead key projects that may otherwise not have a clear home in the company\n\nWhat you’ll need to get the job done\nExperienced in a Chief of Staff role within a high growth, startup technology environment. Alternatively, you’ll have held another strategic/operational role with similar responsibilities (we’ve seen good success with people moving from Private Equity / Venture Capital / Investment Banking analyst roles for example)\n\nGet it done approach - you must be the person who knocks down walls to get things done.\n\nProactive & adaptive - own and drive whatever task you have set.\n\nThrive in ambiguity - and are able to deliver exceptional results whilst not always having a clearly defined path to success\n\nNo egos - you might be leading a strategic meeting with investors, or making sure the office kitchen is stocked.
