You will help architect and optimize an Android SDK that powers mission-critical experiences for some of the largest FinTechs in the world.\nYou will work across the entire lifecycle of our Android SDK, from design to release. This includes shaping how we profile performance, how we catch issues before they ship, how we test our public APIs, and how we produce documentation that makes our SDK easy to integrate. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams across the company, and you will help represent and advocate for our SDK both internally and externally.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nLead the design, architecture, and optimization of the Android SDK\n\nProfile and improve memory behavior, garbage collection patterns, CPU usage, allocation behavior, concurrency, and rendering\n\nDesign stable public APIs and document them clearly for partner developers\n\nStrengthen test coverage with unit tests, UI automation, integration tests, and performance tests\n\nCo-own the Android CI/CD workflows to ensure reliable and safe releases\n\nInvestigate complex production issues and build guardrails to ensure they do not reoccur\n\nProduce thorough documentation that improves integration experience\n\nRepresent Android platform considerations during technical planning and reviews\n\nAdvocate for integration best practices internally and externally\n\nPromote high standards around clarity, reliability, and engineering craftsmanship\n\nWhat you’ll need to get the job done\nStrong debugging skills with Android profiling tools\n\nDeep understanding of memory management, garbage collection, threading, and CPU analysis\n\nExperience working with asynchronous and multithreaded systems\n\nAbility to design, validate, and document public SDK APIs\n\nStrong testing practices including UI automation\n\nFamiliarity with Android CI/CD systems and willingness to help improve them\n\nComfortable validating releases end to end\n\nClear communicator and effective collaborator\n\nExperience working with feature flagging and staged rollout strategies\n\nAndroid Specific Skills\nDeep experience with WebView including custom WebViewClient, WebChromeClient, resource handling, messaging, and hybrid debugging\n\nStrong experience with Java for Android development\n\nExperience building and maintaining Android libraries\n\nFamiliarity with Gradle build
