For more information on the internship program, visit www.knowbe4.com/careers/internships. \nAs a Compliance Intern, you will work with the KnowBe4 Compliance department on a wide variety of issues in the cybersecurity industry including, but not limited to, sanctions and export controls, anti-bribery and corruption, antitrust, third party due diligence, and whistleblower laws. In addition, you will be tasked with assisting and supporting the Compliance department with various research projects and compliance audits.\nKey Responsibilities:\nShadow attorneys in a wide array of legal and business matters, including in counseling business clients\nAssist with compliance matters (e.g., anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, export controls, antitrust) as may be applicable \nAssist with research regarding developing compliance case law and regulations and their impacts on the company\nAssist in compliance audits and investigations as applicable\nAssist in the compliance risk assessment\nSupport the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and internal legal processes including further development of playbooks and policies/procedures \nAssist with due diligence efforts for M&A and other strategic transactions as may be applicable\nResearch new technology and legal industry techniques to make Legal department systems and processes more efficient\nObserve collaborative inter-departmental meetings between Compliance and other teams (Sales, Marketing, etc. as applicable)\nResearch varying subject matters that affect the company and its global affiliates\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be enrolled as a 2L student at the time of application in an ABA law school with excellent academic credentials\nPreferred top 25% of class in law school\nAn official transcript may be required upon request\nMinimum GPA of 3.0 is required\nRecent graduates will not be eligible for this program\nJuris Doctor field of study\nResearch experience using Westlaw or PLI\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills are essential with the ability to positively interact with persons at all levels of our organization\nProficient in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides\nProficient in the use of legal research software platforms\nTalent for multi-tasking, being results oriented and organizationally proficient\nTeam oriented and willing to help others to achieve success \nAbility to develop creative solutions\nAbility to think and act independently \nAbility to effectively prioritize and resolve multiple competing tasks\nAbility to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with external partners and coworkers \nSelf-reliant with the ability to innovate and introduce change showing sound judgment and pragmatism\nCompliance or in-house experience is a plus\nThe compensation for this position ranges from $17/hr - $25/hr which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.\nApplication deadline: 1/2/2027.
