We built an AI system that executes the most complex workflows in medicine and empowers clinicians with clinical intelligence capabilities, so every patient can receive the best care possible.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a native mobile engineer to build and scale the Android experience for Knowtex’s AI-driven clinical documentation platform. You will work closely with our existing mobile engineer, Platform Engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver reliable, intuitive, and performant mobile experiences across enterprise healthcare environments.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who has experience operating on small, high-impact teams with significant ownership and autonomy, including end-to-end execution on critical product features.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn and expand the Knowtex Android application experience\n\nBuild and maintain core mobile workflows including recording, authentication, patient selection, note review, and other emerging clinical workflows\n\nSupport the rollout and continued expansion of Knowtex mobile applications within the Department of Veterans Affairs\n\nDrive feature parity and a consistent product experience across Android, iOS, and web where appropriate\n\nDevelop reliable mobile experiences that interact with real-time audio, background processes, APIs, and native device capabilities\n\nImprove mobile application reliability, observability, performance, security, and release quality\n\nCollaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer delivery teams to prioritize bug fixes, improvements, and new feature development\n\nParticipate meaningfully in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews across mobile and web\n\nImprove system reliability, observability, and performance\n\nHandle engineering escalations from customer-facing teams, including investigating issues outside of your typical areas of responsibility\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience building and shipping production mobile applications\n\nSignificant experience developing native applications for Android in Kotlin\n\nStrong understanding of Android platform capabilities, application lifecycle, and mobile development patterns\n\nExperience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and authentication systems\n\nExperience debugging complex mobile application issues across devices and operating system versions\n\nUnderstanding of mobile application security, performance, and reliability\n\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills\n\nSignificant experience using agentic coding tools to aid in the SDLC\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in healthcare technology or regulated environments\n\nExperience deploying mobile applications in enterprise environments\n\nFamiliarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB\n\nTechnical Environment\nNative Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) mobile applications\n\nTypeScript, Node.js, and Python (Lambda)\n\nAWS cloud infrastructure (including GovCloud environments)\n\nAI-enabled application platforms\n\nCI/CD pipelines and containerized services\n\nObservability and analytics tools (Amplitude, Sentry)\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nMeaningful equity compensation\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nPremium health, dental, and vision coverage\n\n401(k) plan\n\nWhy Knowtex?\nMission that matters\nOur product sits inside real-time clinical care.
