We built an AI system that executes the most complex workflows in medicine and empowers clinicians with clinical intelligence capabilities, so every patient can receive the best care possible.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a frontend-leaning engineer to help build and scale Clinical Intelligence capabilities in our user-facing web application. You will work closely with Platform Engineering and customer-facing teams to build accessible, intuitive, and performant user experiences that support real-time AI workflows across enterprise healthcare environments.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who has experience operating on small, high-impact teams with significant ownership and autonomy, including end-to-end execution on critical product features.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain and expand core Clinical Intelligence experiences, including AI assistants, patient context, patient search, trial and drug eligibility, and other emerging workflows\n\nBuild and scale client-side EHR-integrated features\n\nMaintain complex audio-centric workflows\n\nDevelop accessible, intuitive, and performant user interfaces\n\nDevelop secure and performant APIs and supporting infrastructure for web and mobile applications\n\nCollaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer delivery teams to prioritize bug fixes, improvements, and new feature development\n\nParticipate meaningfully in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews\n\nImprove system reliability, observability, and performance\n\nHandle engineering escalations from customer-facing teams, including investigating issues outside of your typical areas of responsibility\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience building production web applications\n\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript\n\nExperience building applications with React and Node.js\n\nExperience designing and building RESTful APIs\n\nExperience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases\n\nUnderstanding of distributed systems and scalability concepts\n\nStrong debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills\n\nSignificant experience using agentic coding tools to aid in the SDLC\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in healthcare technology or regulated environments\n\nExperience building real-time or highly interactive web applications\n\nFamiliarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB\n\nTechnical Environment\nReact, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python (Lambda)\n\nAWS cloud infrastructure (including GovCloud environments)\n\nAI-enabled application platforms\n\nCI/CD pipelines and containerized services\n\nObservability and analytics tools (Amplitude, Sentry)\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nMeaningful equity compensation\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nPremium health, dental, and vision coverage\n\n401(k) plan\n\nWhy Knowtex?\nMission that matters\nOur product sits inside real-time clinical care.
