This position will primarily serve the Knox College Kleine Center for Community Service and the Division of Student Development. The Driver responsibilities include serving as the point of contact for transporting students to local volunteer opportunities and events, some airport drop off and pick up, occasional meetings with community partners, and maintaining documents related to the driving schedule and number of passengers transported. The Driver will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers, and interact with the passengers throughout their travel in a professional and polite manner. Some nights and weekends are required.\nResponsibilities:\nPick up passengers from the place and time outlined by the Kleine Center\n\nMaintain safe driving practices at all times\n\nMaintain passenger records related to all driving events\n\nListen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions\n\nAnswer questions about the area and local places of interest\n\nEnsure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders\n\nMake recommendations about regular car service appointments and report any issues\n\nMaintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car by using car wash and detailing services\n\nRequirements and skills:\nProven experience as a Driver\n\nA valid driver’s license\n\nA clean driving record\n\nMinimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)\n\nFamiliarity with GPS devices\n\nUse of email and cell phone for general communication and employee hours reporting\n\nKnowledge of area roads and neighborhoods\n\nAvailability to take Sunday evening shifts and occasionally take weekend and night shifts\n\nA polite and professional disposition\n\nA high school diploma preferred\n\nSummary Pay Range: Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
