This role serves as the primary finance contact for the location and is responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, transactional accounting activities, and continuous process improvement. You will supervise one Accounting Specialist and partner closely with regional finance, FP&A, tax, treasury, controllership, and corporate capability teams to support the business and drive value creation.\n\nOur Team\nYou will be part of the site finance team, supporting two legal entities within a manufacturing environment. This position collaborates across operations, finance, shared services, and corporate capability teams to ensure financial integrity, effective decision-making, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nFinancial Accounting & Reporting\nLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring financial results are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\nPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\nEnsure timely resolution of reconciling items and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.\nPrepare monthly financial reporting packages and management reports.\nAnalyze financial results and investigate variances to support business understanding and decision-making.\nMaintain fixed asset accounting, prepaid expense schedules, accruals, and other key accounting records.\nSupport tax, statutory, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements, including sales and use tax, 1099 reporting, and income tax support.\nServe as the primary accounting contact for local and corporate finance stakeholders.\nAccounting Operations & Team Leadership\nLead and support all local accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.\nSupervise, develop, and coach one Accounting Specialist responsible for AR/AP processes.\nEstablish and maintain appropriate controls to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processes.\nMonitor customer collections, vendor payments, and cash management activities.\nFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nProcess Improvement & Systems\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.\nPartner with regional finance teams to standardize reporting, close processes, and financial practices.\nMaintain accounting-related ERP master data and support system enhancements and implementations.\nDrive automation and process optimization initiatives that increase accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.\nSupport and champion continuous improvement efforts across the finance organization.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nExperience leading full-cycle month-end close processes and financial reporting activities.\nExperience managing or leading accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transactional accounting functions.\nKnowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and internal controls.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and organizational levels.\nAbility to work independently while driving results and continuous improvement.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.\nManufacturing, industrial, or multi-site business experience.\nExperience supporting multiple legal entities.\nExperience serving as the lead accounting professional in a small or mid-sized manufacturing organization.\nWorking knowledge of sales and use tax, 1099 reporting, and corporate tax support processes.\nExperience collaborating with shared service organizations and corporate finance teams.\nExperience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor.\nCPA certification or progress toward certification.\nExperience leading process improvement, automation, or system implementation initiatives.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
