The Commissioning Manager will be directly responsible for overseeing all commissioning activities performed at assigned utility-scale solar sites. As part of Koch Engineered Solutions, and with locations across the United States, we are looking for ambitious and entrepreneurial-spirited professionals to join us on our growth journey to transform one of America’s fastest growing energy sectors.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nManage, oversee, develop, and train a team of Commissioning Technicians while learning and applying our Principle-Based Management philosophy\nManage commissioning scopes across multiple projects, including electrical testing and troubleshooting and the development of site-specific commissioning schedules, plans, testing documents, and start-up procedures\nReview contracts, subcontracts, and project drawings to ensure contracted deliverables are understood, met, and align with internal commissioning requisites\nExecute, maintain, and enforce DEPCOM Power Safety Procedures and Protocols\nEngage in daily/weekly interactions with peer departments, subcontractors, and customer entities, including but not limited to providing LOTO and Energized Zone Training\nPrepare project-start plans for receiving, storing, and managing materials and tools as required\nMaintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and LOTO logs\nCoordinate and perform energization, start-up, and troubleshooting of substations and commissioned field equipment, including the development of methods of procedure\nTravel up to 50% to project sites as necessary\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n\nSupervisory experience leading field personnel in commissioning and/or construction\nExperience in electrical testing and troubleshooting\nExperience reviewing contracts, subcontracts, project drawings, and technical deliverables\nWorking knowledge of applicable commissioning and electrical standards, including IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NERC requirements\nValid driver's license \n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n\nUtility-scale power generation experience \nMedium-voltage AC, high-voltage AC, and/or high-voltage DC experience\nExperience with SCADA infrastructure \nNETA Level II or III certification\nOSHA 30 certification\nNFPA 70E certification\nProject Site Requirements\n\nAbility to work outdoors, exposed to the elements\nWill sit, stand, walk short distances, and climb stairs on an occasional basis\nRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, and carry on a frequent basis; maximum of 40 lbs. lifting\nMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures\nMay reach above shoulder height and below the waist on a frequent basis, to include kneeling or bending\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n For this role, we anticipate paying $100k - $150k per year.
