We work closely with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain data products, pipelines, and APIs that support analytics, reporting, and business applications. Our team focuses on building scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions that empower teams to make informed decisions and deliver impactful outcomes.\nWhat You Will Do\nManage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and team members.\nDesign, architect, and develop end-to-end relational and NoSQL database solutions based on business requirements.\nEvaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and approaches to deliver scalable and maintainable data solutions.\nBuild, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using technologies such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Spark, Java, and Python.\nCollaborate with business users to translate requirements into system designs, data flows, data models, and technical solutions.\nDevelop applications and solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, design standards, and engineering best practices.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database and data platform performance, reliability, and scalability.\nAutomate operational processes and build monitoring tools to improve system efficiency and observability.\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues through debugging, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.\nMentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and technical frameworks.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehouse design.\nExperience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.\nStrong understanding of relational database concepts, database design, and query optimization techniques.\nStrong programming experience in Java and/or Python.\nExperience working with enterprise data platforms and large-scale data processing systems.\nUnderstanding of DevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.\nExperience building, operating, and supporting high-volume data systems.\nExperience analyzing large and complex datasets to identify and resolve data quality and performance issues.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.\nExperience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures and distributed data platforms.\nExperience with large-scale batch and streaming data processing solutions.\nExperience with Spring Framework, JPA, AOP, and REST-based application development.\nExperience designing and building RESTful APIs and services.\nExperience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, Keras, or related analytical frameworks.\nFamiliarity with functional programming concepts and modern software engineering practices.\nExperience working in Agile product and engineering environments.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
