Apply today to be part of our innovative team!\nWhat You Will Do\nAssist in documenting project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans under senior engineer guidance.\nCollaborate with the engineering team and product management to capture and analyze customer needs.\nSupport concept development, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements; develop risk mitigation plans.\nConduct DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis, and other analytical studies with oversight from senior engineers.\nCreate and maintain product models and drawings using GD&T, ensuring proper datum selection, dimensioning, and tolerancing with guidance from experienced engineers.\nPrepare and manage engineering change processes in line with company policies.\nDevelop test plans (DVP&R) and analyze test results using statistical methods; perform DOE, Hypothesis Testing, and Capability Studies.\nLead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams with senior guidance.\nAbility to travel approximately 10% of the time\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field\n3+ years of engineering experience in product design\nExperience creating DFMEAs and using FEA / tolerance stacks / analytical studies as part of a robust risk mitigation plan\nExperience developing validation plans and analyzing test results to ensure a product meets performance requirements\nExperience utilizing structured problem solving methods to systematically determine root cause for complex technical issues\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n5+ years of product design experience in the automotive industry (preferably in connection systems)\nKnowledge of resins, metals, engineering tools and processes, and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, plating, assembly)\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
