The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle.\nOur Team\nThis team provides global engineering support for the BiPass product line, liquid cooling solutions, and drop-down heatsinks. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services.\nWhat You Will Do\n·Utilize Siemens NX to create detailed 3D models, sheet metal components, and assemblies, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.\n·Design and develop sheet metal parts and products, including enclosures, brackets, panels, and welded assemblies, considering forming, bending, punching, and fabrication processes.\n·Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to interpret technical requirements and customer needs, translating them into optimized 3D models, flat patterns, and 2D drawings.\n·Apply sheet metal design principles such as bend allowances, K-factor, reliefs, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure proper fit, form, and function.\n·Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including bill of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, using Teamcenter PLM.\n·Manage CAD data, ensuring proper version control, configuration management, and data integrity within Teamcenter.\n·Conduct design reviews and provide technical inputs to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.\n·Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and validation of sheet metal assemblies to ensure proper fit and alignment.\n·Evaluate design feasibility with respect to manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, turret punching, bending, welding, and finishing, and propose design optimizations.\n·Work closely with manufacturing, fabrication, and production teams to resolve design-related issues and support smooth product realization.\n·Develop flat patterns, nesting considerations, and material utilization strategies to optimize cost and production efficiency.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n·Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical\n·3 to 7 years Design experience in Product design, Product Testing Systems , Manufacturing process knowledge\n·Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies\n·Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes\n·Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting\n·Knowledge on product design like PDP process, product testing\n·Good Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n·Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and PLM/PDM systems.\n·Experience in the connector or electromechanical products industry.\n·Skilled in developing product designs aligned with customer requirements.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
