EHS Coordinators support the team to attain manufacturing goals while adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards. Long-term value is created through the application of our Principle Based Management ™ business philosophy.\nThe EH&S Coordinator will assist in providing leadership, strategic direction, and support for plant operations.This position will drive environmental and safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies. The Site EH&S Coordinator will establish Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) metrics, goals and benchmarks that drive excellence while aligning and optimizing the Manufacturing Enterprise in delivering value to the business that meet or exceed business and company EH&S objectives and requirements.\nA current resume must be included with the application for consideration\nThis role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship\n\nWhat You Will Do In Your Role\nPartner with the EHS Manager and operations leaders to implement safety policies, procedures, audit protocols, and training requirements\nBuild operational safety ownership through an effective Compliance System Owner (CSO) process and lead safety improvement initiatives with the CSOs & Leadership team\nMaintain compliance with applicable OSHA, RCRA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements\nComplete required environmental and safety inspections and document corrective actions\nInvestigate incidents, identify contributing factors, and issue accurate reports meeting critical deadlines.\nMonitor federal, state, and local EHS regulatory changes affecting the facility\nMaintain adequate inventories of PPE, personal and departmental locks, and other safety equipment & supplies.\nFacilitate and document operational, physical, and departmental hazard and risk assessments\nCoach employees on the plant floor to reinforce safe work practices and build EHS capability\nCoordinate EHS training, records, and communications with employees, contractors, agencies, and other external partners\nWork effectively in a high-volume industrial environment with noise, heat, humidity, dust, and grease\nApply Principle Based Management (PBM) in daily decisions and interactions\nApply Human and Organizational Performance principles to learn from errors, improve systems, and support employee development\nSpend approximately 50% of working time on the plant floor to understand equipment safety systems and support operations\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nTwo (2) or more years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment\nExperience in an industrial or manufacturing environment\nExperience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nBachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health and Safety Management, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences or Biological Science\nExperience using root cause analysis\nExperience in a safety, environmental and/or quality role \nFor this role, we anticipate paying $35.00- $42.00 per hour.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
