As an electro optic engineer, you will be responsible for the optical design of Teramount’s photonic solutions, defining fabrication tolerances and overseeing optical R&D activities.\nOur Team\nTeramount-Molex is an innovative growth company in the field of silicon photonics packaging, solving one of the key challenges in enabling next-generation co-packaged optics solutions for AI infrastructure, Data Centers, and High-Performance Computing. Following our recent acquisition by Molex, our multidisciplinary team combines optics, packaging, and operational expertise to bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to scalable production.\nWhat You Will Do\n- Optical design of Termount’s packaging solutions.\n- Data analysis of fabricated optics. It will be your responsibility to point out fabrication challenges and verify that outputs meet the defined requirements.\n- Yield prediction and defining optical and mechanical tolerances.\n- Plan, supervise and extract conclusions from R&D lab experiments.\n- Interact with different departments and define targets of the optical R&D process.\n- Interact with vendors and service providers.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics: Electro-optics / Applied Physics.\n- Deep understanding of lenses and optical systems in terms of geometric optics and physical optics.\n- Scripting and simulation capabilities in Python or MATLAB. You will be required to acquire a command of Python.\n- High analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.\n- Experience with optical simulations.\n- A self- starter: ability to perform physical optical simulations with self-built tools and acquire new skills independently.\n- High mathematical skills.\n- High English Proficiency.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n- Hands-on experience with Zemax and/or Lumerical simulation software.\n- Image processing skills.\n- Practical lab experience.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
