In this role, you will combine deep structural FEA expertise with surrogate modeling to help transform complex simulation data into fast, reliable predictions that support product-design decisions. You will lead structural simulation programs, develop and validate surrogate models, and help advance Virtual Product Qualification through credible physics-based prediction.\nOur Team\nYou will join the Multiphysics Simulation Group within Global Engineering Services and Predictive Engineering at Molex’s Global Technical Center in Bengaluru. The team is advancing simulation, digital twins, and AI-assisted surrogate models to reduce prototype-heavy development cycles and enable faster engineering decisions.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead structural FEA programs involving quasi-static loading, impact and drop testing, pressure-induced deformation, vibration, fatigue, and creep.\nDevelop and validate surrogate models that predict stress, strain, displacement, and deformation from FEA training data, reducing dependence on full simulation runs during design iteration.\nApply approaches including regression, response-surface methods, design of experiments, neural networks, and Bayesian correction techniques where appropriate.\nEstablish confidence in simulation and surrogate predictions through convergence studies, sensitivity analysis, error quantification, cross-validation, and correlation with physical test data.\nDefine the design-space boundaries and limitations within which surrogate models can be reliably used.\nPartner with product engineering teams across Molex businesses to translate simulation insights into product-design decisions.\nMentor engineers and strengthen structural simulation methods, review practices, and technical standards across the team.\nContribute validated structural prediction models to broader multiphysics and digital-twin architectures, supporting progress toward Virtual Product Qualification.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Computational Mechanics, or a related engineering discipline.\nDemonstrated structural simulation experience with strong knowledge of solid mechanics, finite-element methods, nonlinear analysis, and contact mechanics.\nHands-on experience with at least one commercial FEA solver such as Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, Nastran, or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience personally building and validating surrogate or reduced-order models from simulation data to predict structural responses.\nProgramming experience using Python or MATLAB for model development or automation, with experience using regression, response-surface, Gaussian-process, or neural-network modeling approaches. \nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, or a related discipline.\nExperience with commercial surrogate or AI simulation platforms such as Physics AI, DEP MeshWorks, Ansys SimAI, Altair HyperStudy, Siemens HEEDS, Rescale, or Isight.\nExperience with Bayesian methods, uncertainty quantification, Physics-Informed Neural Networks, or physics-constrained machine learning.\nExperience with impact, drop-test, or crash simulation in high-reliability product applications.\nUnderstanding of digital-twin architectures and integration of surrogate models into multiphysics environments.\nExperience with coupled thermo-structural or electro-thermal-structural simulation.\nWho We Are\nAs a Koch company, Molex is a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect components, driving innovation in electronics and supporting industries from automotive to health care and consumer to data communications. The thousands of innovators who work for Molex have made us a global electronics leader. Our experienced people, groundbreaking products and leading-edge technologies help us deliver a wider array of solutions to more markets than ever before.\nAt Koch, employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better. Learn how our business philosophy helps employees unleash their potential while creating value for themselves and the company.\nAdditionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs. We seek to enable the best work environment that helps you and the business work together to produce superior results.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4418,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Paper & Pulp Manufacturing","Chemical Manufacturing","Glass & Ceramics Manufacturing","Oil & Gas"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-23T09:22:36Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":88,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.883,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":15,"reasons":["conf:0","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-26T05:57:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/koch-industries-engineer-cae-application","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/koch-industries-engineer-cae-application.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-26T18:08:52Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":24373,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-27T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":13911},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=13911"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fkoch-industries-engineer-cae-application"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fkoch-industries-engineer-cae-application"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fkoch-industries-engineer-cae-application"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/koch-industries-engineer-cae-application\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fkoch-industries-engineer-cae-application"}]}
