A successful Engineering Manager will provide strategic leadership for a broad engineering organization responsible for capital project execution, electrical and mechanical project leadership, document control, and engineering talent development. This role will lead and develop a team of engineering professionals while partnering across operations, maintenance, and reliability organizations to improve asset performance, optimize manufacturing processes, and execute critical capital investments. Our team recently invested more than $150 millio n to grow our brands and continue to serve our loyal consumers with the great quality they have come to expect.\nLearn more by visiting our consumer products homepage.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead, develop, and coach a multidisciplinary engineering team, including Project Managers, Electrical Project Managers, Outage Leaders, Document Control resources, and Engineering Development Program participants. \nBuild organizational capability by attracting, developing, and retaining engineering talent while creating opportunities for individual growth and contribution. \nOversee a significant portfolio of capital and reliability projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. \nProvide strategic leadership for planned outages, major maintenance events, and facility improvement initiatives. \nPartner with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Environmental, and Procurement teams to identify opportunities that improve asset performance and create long-term value. \nEstablish engineering priorities that support mill reliability, productivity, safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. \nEnsure effective engineering processes, project governance, and document control practices are in place to support successful execution. \nDrive continuous improvement efforts through innovation, problem-solving, and application of engineering best practices. \nSupport long-range planning, capital strategy development, and execution of complex manufacturing improvement projects. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements while promoting risk identification and mitigation throughout the department. \nCollaborate with mill leadership to achieve integrated manufacturing objectives and support the overall success of the Wauna Paper Mill. \n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nExperience leading engineering, project management, reliability, or maintenance organizations within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct leadership responsibility for employees. \nExperience managing capital projects and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. \nExperience developing talent, coaching team members, and building organizational capability. \nExperience translating strategic priorities into effective operational execution and sustainable results.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nBachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Paper Science, Bioresource Engineering, or a related technical discipline. \nExperience within the pulp and paper industry. \nExperience leveraging manufacturing and reliability systems such as PI Vision, PARCview, SAP, or similar analytics and maintenance management platforms to drive performance improvements.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
