In this role, you will operate, set up, and monitor wire and cable extrusion equipment while ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency. You will apply your mechanical aptitude and process knowledge to troubleshoot equipment, optimize production, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nWe are seeking operators for 2nd and 3rd shift. These shifts offer a 10-15% shift premium and a retention bonus of $3,000 after 90 days of employment and $5,000 after 180 days of employment.\nOur Team\nYou will report to the Production Supervisor and collaborate closely with engineers, operators, and quality technicians to ensure smooth production operations and consistent product quality.\nWhat You Will Do\nSet up, operate, and tear down extrusion equipment for wire and cable production\nMonitor product quality and ensure conformance to specifications and defect-free output\nComplete required production documentation and input data into SAP systems\nFollow ISO procedures and safety standards to meet customer and regulatory requirements\nPerform basic equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area\nRead and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications\nUse measuring tools to inspect finished products and support quality checks\nTroubleshoot equipment and process issues using mechanical and process knowledge\nAdjust machine parameters to maintain process control and optimize performance\nIdentify root causes of defects and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)\nCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient production flow and product transfer\nSupport continuous improvement efforts focused on yield, scrap reduction, and efficiency\nRecognize abnormal conditions and escalate with recommended solutions\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nExperience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment\nAbility to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions\nMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience in wire and cable manufacturing\nTwo (2) years or more manufacturing experience in a production environment\nExperience using measuring tools for inspection and quality control\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles\nFor this role, we anticipate paying $24-$32 per hour.
