The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to solve problems, be detail-oriented and well organized, and an effective communicator.\nThis role operates on a 9/80 work schedule, with flexibility required to support plant turnarounds, outages, and other operational needs as necessary.\nWhat You Will Do\n Advance Koch’s company culture, Principle Based Management™\n Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and other engineering disciplines to identify and address equipment-related challenges\n Complete workorders and small projects that require engineering. This includes managing all phases of the workorder or project including project development, front-end engineering, detailed design, Management of Change and other safety reviews, construction, and commissioning.\n Lead root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of high impact equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to the site leadership team\n Leverage AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.\n Collect and analyze reliability metrics to identify bad actors\n Develop and implement reliability programs to eliminate fixed equipment threats\n Conduct fitness-for-service (FFS) and risk-based inspection (RBI) analysis to ensure equipment is operated in compliance with industry standards and regulations\n Support capital projects related to fixed equipment, including scope development, materials selection, engineering design review, and construction oversight\n Serve on cross site tech teams to ensure Koch’s internal fixed equipment engineering practices are competitive and up to date with industry practices\n Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Corrosion)OR 3+ years of relevant reliability or industrial manufacturing experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree\n\n Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.\n Physical Requirements:\n Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds\n Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at heights in excess of 100 feet\n Ability to move in/around the plant and equipment\n Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary\n Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather\n Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.\n What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)\n Working knowledge of relevant fixed equipment codes and standards such as ASME, API, and NBIC\n Relevant certifications such as API 510, API 570, API 653, API 580, or API 581 are desirable\n Experience leveraging analytical tools such as Excel, Meridium, API RBI, PowerBI, SEEQ for data-driven decision-making \n Experience with inspection techniques, NDE methods, and fitness-for-service assessments\n This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
