In this role, you will help support safe, reliable, and competitive operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving instrumentation and electrical equipment throughout the facility.\n\nOur Team\nOur Maintenance team includes skilled Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, and Pipefitter technicians. The team works closely with Operations, Reliability, Process Engineering, and Safety groups to ensure safe and reliable operation of the facility. Our culture emphasizes safety, teamwork, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate on turnaround and outage activities, preventive maintenance, root cause analyses, and reliability improvements while supporting site operational objectives. This team works a 4/10 schedule with overtime as needed.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nInspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment\nTroubleshoot and repair field instrumentation including transmitters, control valves, actuators, positioners, RTDs, thermocouples, flow devices, and related equipment\nTroubleshoot electrical systems including motors, starters, relays, transformers, disconnects, breakers, drives, and associated electrical equipment\nSupport analyzer equipment and analyzer-related instrumentation as needed\nPerform routine preventive maintenance and condition-based maintenance activities\nSupport operations during startup, shutdown, and outage activities\nDevelop new maintenance procedures and improve existing procedures\nMaintain inspection, calibration, and maintenance documentation\nCollaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to strengthen team capability and equipment reliability\nDevelop recommendations for improving instrumentation and electrical system performance\nPerform root cause analyses and recommend corrective and preventive actions\nCoordinate with third-party vendors for technical support, repairs, and replacement parts\nSupport Team-Based Maintenance initiatives and reliability improvements\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n3+ years of instrumentation, I&E, electrical, or related maintenance experience in a heavy industrial, chemical, or petrochemical facility\nExperience troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, inspecting, or repairing instrumentation and/or electrical equipment\nExperience reading and working from electrical drawings, loop sheets, and P&IDs\n\nPhysical Requirements\n Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, arc flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.\nAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.\nAbility to work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions.\nMust be able to work in confined spaces with supplied breathing air and congested areas.\nMust be able to climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels and columns, and ladders associated with scaffolds in excess of eighty feet.\nMust be able to work on call schedule.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n5+ years’ experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or refining facility\nExperience with analyzer equipment\nExperience leading troubleshooting efforts on instrumentation systems and serving as a technical resource for instrumentation-related equipment issues.\nExperience facilitating RCA and Failure Mode Cause Analysis\nExperience using SAP or other CMMS systems\nExperience with Honeywell systems or field device management tools\nAssociate degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Process Technology, or related field\nThis role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.\nThis role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
