Jewett, Pennsylvania.\n The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading advanced reliability initiatives - including precision maintenance, lubrication protocols, and preventive maintenance optimization and asset strategies - to improve maintenance effectiveness and asset performance.\n This role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, coach and develop technicians and planners, and partner with operations to strengthen backlog health, improve execution, and maximize asset availability and lifecycle performance.\n\nOur Team\nGeorgia-Pacific Mt. Jewett Medium Density Fiberboard is a high-performing site. The site is our flagship facility for advanced Medium Density Fiberboard manufacturing and technology.\nThe Mt. Jewett Medium Density Fiberboard plant is a key player in the manufacturing of Medium Density Fiberboard products, serving various segments of the industry. The plant is located at 149 Temple Dr, Kane, PA 16735, and is known for its commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing. The plant's operations are part of Georgia-Pacific's broader mission to create industry leading MDF building materials using natural forest products.\nThis type of Medium Density Fiberboard is used for cabinetry, interior decoration, doors and moldings, retail and commercial displays and residential and light commercial construction applications. To learn more about Georgia-Pacific’s MDF Division please visit: www.gp.com.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\n The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the maintenance department to ensure that the mill’s maintenance team meet objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer service. The candidate will lead and support preventative maintenance programs, and provide technical support for troubleshooting, to minimize downtime and maximize process efficiencies.\n Safety Leadership - Accountable for the safety performance of the maintenance area while promoting personal accountability for working safely and addressing safety concerns in all areas of the mill.\n Asset Maintenance - Develop and implement maintenance and improvement strategies while managing within the allotted goals and budgets.\n Help employees understand who their customers are and how their work directly impacts spending and mill profits/loses.\n Business Leadership - Ensure the application of the GP Operating and Maintenance Standards.\n Demonstrate results by working effectively with other mill leaders and resources to improve year over year results.\n Meets regularly with direct reports, and other maintenance team members to increase knowledge and improve skills.\n Business Culture - Embrace the direction of the company’s way of doing business (Principled Based Management) and help continue to change the culture through tools, and processes available. \n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n\n A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance field in a manufacturing or industrial environment\n A minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience\n Experience using CMMS, MS Office (MS Word: creating, editing, formatting documents, preparing reports and tables MS Excel: creating, modifying spreadsheets, using functions, filters, graphs to analyze data)\n Able to read mechanical, structural and electrical drawings; with a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery.\n Experience in leading improvement efforts in Maintenance, Reliability, and Predictive and Preventive Maintenance\n Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools\n Knowledgeable in the areas of conveyor systems, hydraulics, PLCs, and pneumatic systems\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n\n Knowledgeable in the areas of PLC’s, conveyor systems, breakers, wood fired furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems\n Experience in leading improvement efforts in Maintenance Reliability, and Predictive and Preventive Maintenance\n Experience in welding, machining, industrial design, and equipment rigging\n Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools\n Able to read mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings; with a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery\n OSB or wood products manufacturing knowledge\n Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an accredited academic program\n At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
