John Zink, a Koch Engineered Solutions business, provides combustion and emission-control solutions including industrial burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, and vapor control systems.\nWhat You Will Do\nApply mechanical engineering expertise to piping systems and piping stress analysis in accordance with applicable international codes and standards.\nTranslate customer requirements, project specifications, and engineering inputs into practical, safe, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions.\nDevelop and review engineering calculations, technical documents, drawings, reports, and other project deliverables.\nParticipate in 3D model reviews and multidisciplinary engineering discussions to support effective project execution.\nCollaborate with designers, project teams, vendors, customers, and global engineering teams to resolve technical requirements and engineering queries.\nSupport technical evaluation of vendor proposals and contribute to engineering quality through effective self-checking and peer-review practices.\nContribute knowledge toward engineering standards, templates, work processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nExpand capabilities into adjacent engineering areas based on business needs and individual strengths.\nTake ownership of assigned engineering work and deliver commitments safely, ethically, and on schedule while identifying opportunities for long-term value creation.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.\nExperience in piping systems and piping stress analysis, with a good understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards.\nProficiency and hands-on experience with CAESAR II software.\nWritten and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, fertilizer, process plants, EPC projects, combustion systems, packaged equipment, industrial equipment, or similar industries.\nFamiliarity with mechanical design codes and customer specifications.\nExperience implementing design automation, engineering standards, templates, or continuous improvement initiatives that improve engineering effectiveness.\nAbility to understand the broader project and business impact of engineering decisions.\nA contribution-focused mindset with curiosity and willingness to take on unfamiliar engineering challenges.\nHumility, openness to feedback, and a commitment to continuous learning.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
