Your Job
As an MES Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between production processes, equipment, databases, and enterprise systems. Your work will help maximize manufacturing efficiency, system reliability, and data accuracy across the production environment.
Our Team
The Manufacturing Systems team supports production operations by developing, maintaining, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). We work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams to ensure reliable system performance, equipment connectivity, data integrity, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment. Our focus is enabling efficient, data-driven manufacturing processes that support operational excellence and business growth.
What You Will Do
- Administer and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing processes with MES capabilities.
- Develop and integrate interfaces between manufacturing equipment and MES applications.
- Design, maintain, and support databases and system integrations.
- Analyze production and process data to support operational improvements.
- Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot MES-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and system performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, automation, software development, or a related engineering role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of SQL, database development, and system integration.
- Experience integrating shop floor equipment with MES platforms.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
- Software development and programming experience.
- Experience supporting Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence cross-functional teams.
