This role will serve as the sourcing single point of contact for the product development teams supporting the sourcing activities of all BOM line items for the assigned product development projects. During the project(s) development you will work with Global Category Management (GCM) and Regional Category Management (RCM) and project teams to execute sourcing and supplier strategies.\nMolex is seeking an individual with proven technical background skills, the ability to promote cross-functional collaboration between business groups, drive communication and work to foster a culture of innovation providing value to the business with strong technical background. This role will be in Molex Hung Yen plant, Vietnam.\nWhat You Will Do (Job Description)\nPartner with Molex design teams throughout Product Development process to manage BOM cost through Product Launch\nNew product supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting for the DSS division\nLead the transition of new and/or existing projects from other sites to Hung Yen plant.\nBring Design to Value (Manufacturing, Quality, Cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product design teams\nConduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decision\nNegotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies\nApply appropriate category strategies in line with preferred suppliers (Metals, Plastics, Electronics, and Outsourcing etc.) to new product sourcing needs\nProactive supply risk management in the new product development process and initial volume phase.\nDrive supply chain localization in regions.\nAssist RCM team aligned with team’s goal and strategy.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor’s Degree\n5 or more years’ experience in the Procurement function focused on direct spending\n5 years’ experience in New Product Development Sourcing\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nMechanical Engineering & Manufacturing\nMechanical design, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, tooling, stamping, machining, die-casting, or injection molding.\nExperience working with mechanical components and manufacturing suppliers.\nCNC Machining & Precision Manufacturing\nCNC machining processes, fixture design, precision manufacturing, GD&T, and process capability improvement.\nExperience managing suppliers producing high-precision mechanical parts.\nThermal / Cooling Solutions\nExperience in thermal management, liquid cooling, cold plates, heat sinks, or data center cooling applications.\nUnderstanding of thermal performance requirements and cooling system manufacturing processes..\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
