As a Pipeline Operator you will be responsible to ensure our pipeline facilities are maintained in a state of operational readiness. This role also has record keeping requirements, computer-oriented tasks, and the maintenance of the equipment in the facility. Pipeline Operators are responsible for launching, receiving, loading, and unloading of pipeline inspection tools.\nPipeline Operators also input computer data in various programs and are assigned duties through a work management system. Come realize your full potential and join our team!\n\nWhat You Will Do\n Perform equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness of pipeline facilities\n Launch, receive, load, and unload pipeline inspection tools\n Input data and complete tasks in various computer systems and a work management system\n Maintain accurate records and documentation\n Support small project execution and team collaboration\n Participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends as needed\n Travel occasionally for training, meetings, or short-term support at other locations\n Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBasic knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems (e.g., pumps, valves, circuits)\nExperience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)\nExperience with troubleshooting and resolving equipment or system issues\nA valid driver's license\nAbility to comply with the physical requirements of the position (See below)\nParticipate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends as needed\nAbility to travel up to 90% of the time during the day with up to 10% of the time being overnight stays to support the business. \nWilling and able to reside within an approximate 45-minute drive of the facility in Cottage Grove, MN \n\nPhysical Requirements:\n Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, handle, bend, twist, climb, and balance; to occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl\nAbility and willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (for example: hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, respirator, safety work boots, etc. as required)\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds)\nIs able to respond to audio alarms or other loud noises that would indicate a safety concern\nMust be able to communicate hazardous conditions and other dangers\nMust be able to work near moving mechanical parts, work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and outdoor weather conditions, work in high, precarious places and work around fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nA two-year technical or mechanical degree \nAt least two years of construction/maintenance experience in a bulk storage terminal \nPrevious work experience in a bulk storage terminal and/or pipeline operation \n1-2 years of Electrical and Instrumentation troubleshooting experience \nOne year of experience in petroleum or chemical industry\nFor this role, we anticipate paying $30-40 per hour.
