This role has the primary responsibility of developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling for new and existing fiber optic assembly products.\nOur Team\nPhillips-Medisize, a Molex company, is an end-to-end provider of design, development, and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device, and life sciences industries. Our IVD and Life Sciences segment partners with customers to bring highly engineered, regulated products from early concept through development, industrialization, launch, and lifecycle management.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n Develop, modify, and validate manufacturing processes for new and existing products. \nDesign, automate, and validate jigs, tools, and fixtures for production use. \nTrain production personnel in new techniques, processes, and technologies. \nTroubleshoot product designs and assembly methods. \nTroubleshoot equipment and resolve mechanical or process issues within assigned responsibilities. Diagnose operational problems hands-on, make adjustments, replace components, and coordinate external repairs as needed. \nMaintain accurate and complete records for assigned engineering projects. \nMaintain data associated with production processes. \nDevelop and document process and equipment operating procedures. \nParticipate in or lead special projects, new programs, and technology transfers. \nUnderstand, support, and contribute to Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) management systems by following established policies and procedures.\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physics\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nProgramming experience using Python\nTwo (2) years or more in product or process development\nExperience with fiber-optic assemblies\nExperience with the design of experiments and statistical process control\nIn order to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, this position requires applicants to either provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status or be eligible to receive an export authorization (a license) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
