This role is responsible for production scheduling, material requirements planning, and inventory coordination to support customer demand while optimizing manufacturing capacity, delivery performance, and inventory levels.\nThe ideal candidate has strong SAP experience, understands manufacturing planning processes, and can translate customer demand and material availability into achievable production schedules.\nOur Team\nAt Molex South Grafton, you'll join a collaborative team dedicated to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. We work closely across Operations, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Engineering, and Sales to ensure customer commitments are met while driving operational excellence.\nWhat You Will Do\nDevelop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand while maximizing manufacturing efficiency.\nPlan raw material and component requirements and communicate shortages and replenishment needs to the Purchasing team.\nUtilize SAP (MRP/ERP) to review demand, material availability, inventory, production orders, and production schedules.\nReview MRP recommendations, identify material constraints, and create or adjust production orders and schedules.\nCoordinate with Purchasing to confirm material availability and escalate shortages that may affect production schedules.\nAnalyze inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize shortages and excess inventory.\nWork closely with Production, Customer Service, Engineering, and Sales to balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity.\nMonitor production order progress, identify delays, and coordinate recovery plans with Operations and Customer Service.\nMonitor schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery; identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness.\nMaintain accurate planning parameters, including production lead times, lot sizes, and scheduling assumptions in SAP.\nCommunicate production priorities, schedule changes, and potential delivery risks to cross-functional teams.\nPublish and monitor production planning KPIs, including schedule adherence, backlog, and on-time delivery.\nContinuously improve production planning and scheduling processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.\nSupport Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO, Environmental, and EH&S systems by following established policies and procedures.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nMinimum five (5) years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and material requirements planning.\nExperience managing production orders, inventory planning, and material availability.\nExperience analyzing data and making decisions using SAP reports and Excel.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.\nAPICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.\nExperience with finite capacity planning, production scheduling, and schedule recovery.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing lead times, inventory controls, and production planning KPIs.\nExperience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.\nFor this role, we anticipate paying $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
