You will work across Process, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Structural, and Design disciplines while collaborating with customers, suppliers, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver technically compliant, high-quality solutions on schedule.\nThis role provides an opportunity to apply strong engineering judgment, take ownership of project outcomes, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement.\nOur Team\nJohn Zink is a global combustion and emissions-control partner delivering engineered solutions including industrial burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, vapor control systems, and related services.\nOur team brings together multidisciplinary engineering expertise and works collaboratively with customers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and global subject matter experts to solve complex industrial challenges safely, reliably, and efficiently.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the technical execution of assigned projects, ensuring engineering deliverables align with contractual requirements, customer specifications, project scope, quality expectations, and schedules.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across Process, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Structural, and Design teams to support effective project execution.\nDevelop, review, and coordinate key engineering deliverables including P&IDs, General Arrangement drawings, calculations, datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, and mechanical design packages.\nPrepare technical specifications and procurement documentation for bought-out equipment and packaged systems and conduct technical evaluations of supplier proposals.\nCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to review and approve drawings, calculations, and technical documentation while driving timely closure of technical issues.\nPartner with customers, procurement, quality, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries and ensure engineering requirements are effectively implemented.\nEnsure equipment, systems, and engineering deliverables comply with applicable contractual requirements, engineering codes and standards, customer specifications, and recognized engineering practices.\nMonitor engineering performance, including quality, on-time delivery, engineering efficiency, design consistency, and technical excellence.\nManage engineering man-hour budgets for assigned projects, monitor utilization, and identify potential scope changes or budget variances.\nParticipate in project Kick-Off Meetings, progress reviews, HAZOP/SIL studies, design reviews, 3D model reviews, and other technical project discussions.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in Project Engineering and/or Package Engineering for mechanical systems, equipment, piping, or packaged systems.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and managing multiple engineering priorities and deliverables.\nExperience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, and procurement-related technical documentation.\nProfessional verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience with combustion equipment or emissions-control systems within the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, power, or process industries.\nExperience in the engineering and execution of packaged systems, process equipment, or turnkey projects in a multidisciplinary environment.\nExperience with ERP and Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Infor LN (Baan) for BOM management, procurement support, engineering documentation, or change management.\nWorking knowledge of applicable international and regional engineering codes and standards, including ASME, IBR, PED, API, ISO, and relevant Indian Standards (IS).\nDemonstrated curiosity, humility, openness to feedback, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
