The Project Manager will be involved with both leading and supporting project teams in the development and implementation of projects using Georgia-Pacific capital project work processes. The position will be involved for the complete life cycle of capital and major maintenance projects including definition, detailed design, construction, start-up and close out.\n\nOur Team\nGeorgia-Pacific Monticello is a fully integrated containerboard mill that employs 450 employees and continues to benefit from extensive capital investment. Monticello, Mississippi, is an hour South of Jackson, MS, and an hour Northwest of Hattiesburg, MS.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nPromote safety through proactive involvement in safety training, adherence to safety policies, and inclusion of company safety initiatives in project deliverables\nDevelop project scope, objectives, and goals\nPrepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements\nTrack project costs to meet budget\nDevelop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan\nIdentify and manage potential risks and liabilities, provide input to risk management plans, and anticipate risks that could adversely impact project success or mill operations\nPerform quality control throughout the project to maintain standards expected, specifications cited, and relevant governing body regulatory requirements - Ensure proper acceptance tests and inspection criteria are project integrated\nUtilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution\nParticipate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans\nParticipate in the development of criteria for, and evaluation of, equipment and technical suppliers\nManage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables\nProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress - Communicate with project owners to ensure alignment to project goals\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering\n·Ability to provide project management in a manufacturing environment\n·Possess good written and oral communication skills\n·Experience with Microsoft Office Word (i.e. creating documents), Excel (i.e. creating/updating spreadsheets), and Outlook (i.e. scheduling meeting invites & emailing)\n·Must work extended work schedule during critical execution periods, mill outages and while being on weekend/holiday call\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n·Five (5) or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment\n·Project management and project engineering experience\n·Experience working in a pulp and paper mill\n·Experience with Microsoft Project\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
