The position will establish and reinforce the importance of applying our management philosophy to continue Darlington’s transformation into a world class manufacturer and distributor of Consumer Products. This position creates value by partnering with operations and providing essential oversight, assessments, and information for process improvements. A successful candidate in this role will be a principled entrepreneur, someone who performs well with limited oversight, and is comfortable with the challenge process.\n\nOur Team\nOur Darlington facility manufactures Dixie® paper products. The Printing Technician position will be part of a shift team responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our industrial printing presses as part of the overall plate and bowl making process.\nTo learn more about Dixie®, please visit: www.dixie.com.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nPerforming routine and special request testing and sampling\nAnalyzing in-process materials and finished product to check conformance to specifications\n\nPerforming troubleshooting and routine maintenance of lab testing equipment\n\nAccurately complete all documentation and data entry associated with quality checks and QC reports and communicating results\n\nEnsuring compliance with all policies and procedures\n\nPerforming and/or assisting with internal audits to support compliance with SQF and Quality Systems.\n\nAssisting operations with quality-related requests.\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nHigh school diploma or GED\nOne (1) or more years of experience in manufacturing environment\n\nThe ability to use Microsoft software.\noAble to initiate new spreadsheets with Excel. Add/edit data, use of pivot tables, manipulation for the purpose of analysis, creating formulas.\noThe ability to use MS word to create new documents such as new procedures, guidelines etc.\noUse of Teams to access and information and files.\n\nExperience with email\n\nWilling and able to work eight (8) hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed\n\nWilling and able to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment\n\nWilling and able to learn and perform various testing procedures\n\nExperience with data collection and entry.\n\nExperience performing mathematical calculations, e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals\n\nWilling and able to perform administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and labeling\n\nWilling and able to work unsupervised with minimal management of duties and expectations.\n\nComfortable working with people at all levels of the organization to continuously improve Darlington’s quality systems.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience working in a Quality department\nOne (1) year or more of experience in food manufacturing\nExperience working in the Consumer Products industry\nInternal auditing experience.\nSQF experience.\nOther quality management standards (such as ISO 9000)\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
