This role will provide deep expertise in combustion systems, industrial controls, automation, and field application engineering while helping develop the next generation of controls engineers.\nThe successful candidate will be recognized as a technical resource capable of solving complex engineering challenges, supporting product innovation, improving engineering standards, and transferring knowledge across the organization. In addition to delivering critical project work, this individual will play a key role in mentoring engineers and strengthening technical capability within the team.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the design, development, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems for Vapor Technologies products.\nServe as a subject matter expert in combustion systems, combustion controls, and process automation.\nDevelop control strategies, automation architectures, and application-specific control solutions for complex customer applications.\nTroubleshoot challenging system issues and provide technical leadership during startup and commissioning activities.\nSupport product development and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEstablish and improve engineering standards, best practices, and design methodologies.\nPerform technical reviews and provide guidance to other engineers on complex projects.\nDevelop and deliver technical training for controls and combustion-related topics.\nMentor and coach engineers through project reviews, problem-solving, and lessons learned.\nSupport sales, product, and service teams through technical consultation and customer engagement.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nExperience designing, programming, testing, and commissioning industrial control systems for Vapor Combustion and Recovery projects.\nExperience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, drives, process controls, and automation systems.\nExperience supporting industrial combustion, thermal process equipment, or related process technologies.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.\nAbility and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nDeep technical expertise in combustion systems, burner management systems, combustion safety, boiler burner, flares, thermal oxidizers, biogas, or related equipment.\nExperience developing engineering standards and technical documentation.\nProven track record coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
