This role is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient logistics processes. The Shipping Coordinator works closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.\nSalary:\n$26.20-$31.50 per hour depending on experience\n$3 shift differential 2nd shift \n\nShift:\n2nd shift:2 PM - 10 PM\nCandidates should also be available to work overtime and weekends as needed\nKey Responsibilities:\nShipping & Logistics Coordination\nPrepare and process all shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, customs forms, etc.).\nVerify shipping instructions, customer requirements, and delivery deadlines.\nEnsure shipments meet compliance, packaging, and quality standards.\nOrder Fulfillment\nConfirm product availability and collaborate with warehouse staff to prepare shipments.\nVerify order accuracy before shipment (quantities, product codes, packaging specifications).\nMonitor and track shipments; proactively communicate delays or issues.\nInventory & Documentation\nMaintain accurate shipping logs and databases.\nUpdate ERP or warehouse management systems\nAssist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as needed.\nCompliance & Safety\nAdhere to company policies, DOT regulations, and international shipping guidelines.\nEnsure proper labeling and hazardous materials handling (if applicable to the industry).\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping area.\nJob Specifications:\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.\n1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or related field.\nExperience with ERP/WMS systems preferred.\nFamiliarity with domestic and international shipping processes.\nSkills & Competencies:\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency with shipping software, carrier portals, and ERP systems.\nStrong knowledge of freight shipping, logistics, and transportation terminology.\nAbility to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts-if certified).\nCore Competencies\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nEffective written and verbal communication.\nProblem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot logistical issues.\nAbility to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift 25-50 lbs regularly.\nStanding, walking, bending, and handling materials throughout shift.\nAbility to work in warehouse environment (temperature changes, noise, etc.).\nWork Environment:\nPrimarily warehouse-based with frequent interaction with production and shipping teams.\nMay require overtime during peak periods.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
