The role offers broad exposure to technical and business challenges and the opportunity to shape long-term platform direction through meaningful, measurable contributions.\nOur Team\nThis individual will partner with business stakeholders, build modern, cloud-native applications, and apply software engineering fundamentals and product thinking to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions that create measurable business value.\nThis role is based in our London, UK office.\nWhat You Will Do\n·Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that support middle-office functions and trading business processes.\n·Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.\n·Develop cloud-native applications and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and modern architecture patterns.\n·Contribute to system design, data models, application programming interfaces (APIs), and integration patterns across the application landscape.\n·Deliver reliable, maintainable software through automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), shared engineering standards, and cross-functional collaboration.\n·Support and enhance existing platforms while driving modernization, simplification, and reliable system operation.\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n5+ years of experience delivering production software applications across backend and frontend technologies. \nExperience developing backend services using at least one modern language or framework such as Node.js, Python, or C#/.NET. \nExperience building user interfaces using a modern frontend framework such as React or Angular. \nExperience working with relational databases, SQL, RESTful APIs, and complex data models. \nExperience using source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development practices. \nExperience building and deploying applications in a public cloud environment. \nExperience using modern development tools to improve code quality, testing, documentation, or delivery efficiency.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience building and deploying applications in AWS. \nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, or software delivery outcomes while adhering to security and data-handling requirements. \nExperience evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to solve business problems and improve operational outcomes. \nAbility to connect engineering decisions to operational needs and measurable business value. \nDemonstrated ownership of outcomes, including identifying risks early and driving work through delivery and support. \nExperience working effectively in ambiguous environments and making pragmatic technical trade-offs. \nExperience designing simple, maintainable, and scalable solutions. \nAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. \nContinuous learner who applies new technologies and development practices in a practical, value-driven manner.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
