You will lead sourcing activities from early design engagement through product launch, with primary focus on cable assemblies and connectors and exposure to PCB-related sourcing. Working with engineering, product management, operations, quality, and category management, you will develop competitive, capable, and resilient supply solutions that improve cost, speed, and launch readiness. This role is based in Taiwan (Hybrid) and works closely with ICMM R&D, technical project manager, and product manager at TDC.\nOur Team\nYou will join the DSS New Product Development Sourcing team and collaborate with Global and Regional Category Management, Supplier Quality Engineering, operations, external suppliers, and contract manufacturers. Key stakeholders include Product Development Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Quality, and operations teams across multiple locations.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead supplier commercial negotiations and cost optimization through should-cost analysis, cost breakdowns, value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), and total cost of ownership.\nIdentify, assess, select, and onboard suppliers for ICMM new product programs, with emphasis on cable assemblies and connectors.\nBring Design for Cost, Supply Chain, Manufacturability, and Quality perspectives into product design decisions early in the NPD process.\nConduct should-cost, market benchmark, and make-versus-buy analyses to support fact-based sourcing decisions.\nTranslate category strategies into project-level sourcing plans aligned with preferred suppliers, technology requirements, capacity, regional footprint, and risk.\nBuild supplier and market intelligence on cable assembly, connector, PCB, electronics, and outsourced manufacturing technologies.\nOwn sourcing strategy, RFQ execution, supplier readiness, risk mitigation, and NPI-to-mass-production handoff for assigned projects.\nCollaborate across global locations and travel domestically or internationally up to 15%.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum 5 years of sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.\nHands-on sourcing knowledge in cable assemblies, connectors, interconnect products, electronics, or related electromechanical products.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional sourcing work across engineering, quality, operations, category management, and suppliers.\nExperience with supplier negotiation, cost breakdown analysis, should-cost modeling, RFQ execution, and total cost of ownership.\nProfessional proficiency in English and Mandarin, including the ability to lead discussions and deliver presentations in English.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nDirect sourcing experience in the cable assembly or connector industry, including manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities.\nKnowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, cost structure, and supplier landscape.\nExperience supporting NPD programs from concept and supplier selection through qualification, ramp, and mass production.\nExperience with supplier development, dual-source/localization strategy, capacity readiness, or supply-risk mitigation.\nProficiency in SAP, e-sourcing, spend analytics, or project management tools, with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
