This leader will drive product architecture, design execution, technical excellence, talent development, and customer-focused innovation across high-speed connector, cable assembly, and interconnect platforms serving AI, cloud, networking, storage, and compute markets.\nThe role partners closely with Advanced Development, Development Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Reliability, Signal Integrity, and Program Management teams to deliver new products from concept through commercialization while ensuring alignment with CSBU business strategy and customer roadmaps. The position plays a key leadership role in translating emerging technologies into scalable, manufacturable, and market-leading solutions.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nLead and develop a global team of Product Design Engineers supporting Enterprise CSBU products.\nEstablish technical direction, engineering standards, and best practices for product design.\nBuild organizational capability through talent acquisition, mentoring, succession planning, and leadership development.\nCreate a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nDrive engineering resource planning and portfolio prioritization.\nOwn design engineering execution across connector and cable product families.\nEnsure designs meet customer, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.\nDrive concept generation, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design validation.\nChampion Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Reliability (DFR) methodologies.\nSupport development of next-generation Enterprise connectivity platforms including:\nHigh-speed backplane connectors\nMezzanine connector systems\nNear-package connectivity (NPC)\nChip-package connectivity (CPC)\nHigh-density cable assemblies\n224G and 448G interconnect solutions\nPartner with Advanced Development on technology incubation and transition to product platforms.\nSupport strategic customer engagements with hyperscalers, networking OEMs, AI infrastructure providers, and semiconductor companies.\nRepresent Molex as a senior technical leader during customer interactions.\nPartner with Product Management to align product roadmaps and engineering priorities.\nCollaborate with Development Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, Reliability, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.\nFacilitate effective design transfers from concept through launch.\nDrive alignment between regional engineering teams in North America and Asia.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives that improve speed-to-market and development effectiveness.\n\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.\n10+ years of engineering experience in product development.\n10+ years of engineering leadership experience managing technical teams.\nProven experience with electro-mechanical product design.\nStrong understanding of: Connector and cable assembly development, tolerance analysis/design for complex assemblies, product lifecycle management, design verification methodologies, manufacturing processes, reliability engineering, and signal integrity.\nExperience leading cross-functional global development teams.\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nExperience in data center, AI, cloud, networking, or server infrastructure markets.\nKnowledge of high-speed interconnect technologies operating at 112G, 224G, and 448G signaling rates.\nExperience with customer-facing technical leadership.\nFamiliarity with global engineering organizations.\nTrack record of innovation, patent generation, and new product launches.\nKnowledge of Principle Based Management® principles and culture.\nMaster's Degree in a technical field\nFor this role, we anticipate paying $175,000 - $200,000 per year.
