DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy: Build and maintain technical understanding of the products, categories purchased, and supplier capabilities. Partner with Molex design teams throughout Product Development Process (PDP) to drive the lowest total cost of the BOM and achieve a Flawless Launch Market strategy. Leadership: Align resources with requirements and opportunities in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, and the Supply Base. New Product Launch: Lead the New Product Development Sourcing activity to ensure new products launch on schedule Pricing & Cost: Bring“Design to Value” (manufacturing, quality, cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product Design Team. Negotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies & company guiding principles. Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decisions. Supply Base Development & Management: Establish long-term supplier relationships with Preferred Suppliers.Drive supplier consolidation. Secure supply. Assess risk and lead to mitigation efforts. Implement Supply Agreements and Inventory management agreements. Drive IT integration with key suppliers to improve efficiency and communication. Supplier Perform
