Develop new mechanical products, including cables and other miscellaneous related mechanical hardware.\n2. Lead new product development efforts executing Product Development Phase Gate Process from development of the product concept through volume production while adhering to project schedule; Design includes all aspects of product development such as: 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, design layouts, engineering changes, technical documents, tolerance analysis, product testing, etc.\nWork with manufacturing engineering to develop manufacturing processes utilizing the latest 3D CAD modeling techniques and other Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tools.\n3. Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and inside product marketing personnel\n4. Use risk reduction tools to perform FEA, model simulation etc. Design analysis is expected; Provides input to the DFMEA analysis of the product as required.\n5. Performs design verification activities to ensure that design meets the specifications of the customer, UL requirements, and environmental testing.\n6. Perform other related duties as assigned by management\nSCOPE: The New Product Launch Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing new product introduction activities for connector and cable products. The role ensures readiness of materials, tooling, fixtures, and processes, supports validation builds, resolves technical issues, and provides manufacturability input to design teams.
