The Woodyard Operator position creates value by safely operating and performing preventative maintenance on the equipment, which allows for smooth and successful operations in the woodyard.\nThis position pays $24.61 per hour.\nThe Woodyard Operator will work 12-hour shifts and required overtime as needed. The rotation is 4 days, 7 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1off, 3 nights, and 3 off (5:00 am to 5:00 pm days and 5:00pm to 5:00am nights).\nOur Team\nAlabama River Cellulose (ARC) mill has been a major part of the economic lifeblood of the region. Recognized as one of the largest pulp operations in North America, the mill is also considered the largest manufacturer in Monroe County and one of the largest employers in the area. ARC, part of Georgia-Pacific’s Cellulose group.\nWhat You Will Do\nOperate different types of heavy equipment: Loaders, Dozers, Cranes, Stackers, Reclaimers, etc.\nMonitor chip and bark quality and flow patterns\nProgress through the appropriate skills level checklist in a timely manner with the goal to advance within the department\nPerform equipment cleanup and operator basic care including minor maintenance tasks and troubleshooting\nPerform housekeeping duties throughout the Woodyard area\nMaintain strict adherence to safety rules & regulations to include wearing required safety equipment\nAttend and complete to attend and complete mandatory and ongoing trainings\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nAssociate degree in Process Operations or Electrical/Instrumentation OR two (2) years of experience in a farming, carpentry, construction, warehouse, military, production, or manufacturing environment\n\nExperience using a computer, tablet, or smart device\n\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\nIndustrial lift truck experience/certification\nExperience with safe work permitting (hot work, line breaking) and executing lockout activities (isolation, draining, deenergizing)\nExperience handling bulk materials in an industrial/manufacturing environment\nExperience operating cranes and/or heavy equipment\nExperience working with industrial conveyor systems\nExperience performing basic mechanical repairs to equipment\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
