The principal responsibility for this co-op role is to support engineering projects and day-to-day activities across various film and chemical manufacturing processes. The co-op will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and engineering design.\nThis co-op can be Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Will be 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport various controls projects, including troubleshooting and obsolescence upgrades.\nPrimary focus will be on upgrading multiple obsolete variable frequency drives. Create release documents that include wiring diagram and drive parameters. Assist with installation and commissioning.\nParticipate in projects involving process improvements, equipment reliability, and automation enhancements.\nCollaborate with engineers and skilled trades personnel on multi-generational equipment and systems.\nAssist in technical support for operations and maintenance activities.\nPreferred Skills and Knowledge:\nFamiliar with Allen Bradley VFDs.\nFamiliarity with Allen Bradley PLCs and ladder logic. (Plus, but not required)\nInterested in automation, mechatronics, and process control systems.\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Automation, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering.
