Strong math skills.\nKnowledge of best machining speeds and feeds for Stainless, carbon steel, Aluminum, Brass as well as plastics and phenolics.\nResponsible for keeping and maintaining a clean shop and should be able to perform maintenance on shop equipment.\nAbility to work in both metric and standard measurements. Metric values will be the main system used.\nKnowledge required to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, bore gauges and indicators.\nWill work closely with engineering to create parts from blueprints provided. Knowledge of CAD/CAM is a plus.\nWill need to operate a 16x120 lathe in which rollers will be ground to finish by a grinding attachment on the cross slide of the carriage. These rollers can range from a diameter of 150.mm up to 520.mm with lengths of 1,800.mm faces or more.\nNeed to have a mechanical mindset to understand critical requirements for proper web conveyance of litho-grade aluminum coil sheeting.\nWill use a forklift and related powered industrial equipment.\nKnowledge of Laser alignment equipment is a plus to include understanding coordinate measuring systems.
