Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.\nAbout the Role\nAs an AV Fleet Technician, you will execute maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks across vehicle and autonomous (AV) systems in a shop environment.\nYou will complete assigned work orders, follow SOPs, and support day-to-day fleet operations to keep vehicles safe and operational. This role provides hands-on experience with AV systems, diagnostics, and maintenance workflows while working alongside experienced technicians.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExperience\n1-3 years of experience in fleet, automotive, or technical operations\nExperience working on heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers\nHands-on electrical repair experience, including wiring harness repairs and connector termination\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics\nBasic experience with maintenance or mechanical systems\nWillingness to learn AV systems and diagnostics\nNice to Have\nExperience in a shop or garage environment\nExposure to autonomous vehicle systems or sensors\nFamiliarity with tools, inspections, or maintenance workflows\nWhat You’ll Do\nWork Order Execution\nExecute maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on vehicles\nComplete work orders accurately and on time\nPerform inspections and basic repairs following SOPs\nAV Systems Work\nWork with AV components including sensors, diagnostics, and system checks under guidance\nCapture logs, photos, and diagnostic data as required\nFollow defined workflows for AV-related tasks and escalate issues\nSOP & Quality\nFollow SOPs to ensure safe and consistent execution\nComplete required documentation for all work performed\nTeam Execution\nWork under direction of Senior Technicians and Leads\nParticipate in shift briefs, debriefs, and handoffs\nEscalate issues clearly and immediately\nMindset\nDetail-oriented with a focus on safety and accuracy\nFollows instructions and SOPs consistently\nCommunicates clearly and escalates issues quickly\nReliable and consistent in execution\nWhy Join Kodiak?\nYou will work hands-on with vehicles in a structured environment and gain experience with autonomous systems.
