This role will support heavy industrial, oil and gas, energy, and EPC construction work throughout the Permian Basin and other project locations.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong E&I construction experience, practical NEC and NFPA 70E knowledge, and proven experience leading quality personnel, managing inspection/testing activities, resolving field quality issues, and maintaining project quality documentation.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the E&I QA/QC program for assigned divisions and projects.\nLead and coordinate E&I quality personnel performing audits, inspections, surveillance, testing, and documentation.\nInterpret contract quality requirements, drawings, specifications, and inspection/testing requirements.\nSupport inspection and test plans, quality checklists, turnover packages, NCRs, corrective actions, punch lists, and quality records.\nCoordinate third-party E&I testing agencies and support electrical/instrumentation testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.\nInterface with corporate quality leadership, project management, construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.\nTroubleshoot field quality issues and ensure timely resolution and closeout.\nTrack, maintain, and report E&I quality metrics to divisional and corporate leadership.\nPrepare weekly quality reports identifying issues, trends, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.\nTrain project and field personnel on quality program requirements, documentation standards, and inspection expectations.\nSupport the company’s commitment to quality, safety, productivity, and team-based execution.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 5 years of E&I Quality Management experience in industrial construction, oil and gas, energy, maintenance, or EPC environments.\nStrong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation construction quality control.\nWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code.\nPractical knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safe work practices.\nExperience managing E&I inspectors, field quality personnel, subcontractor quality performance, or third-party testing resources.\nAbility to read and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, test procedures, and project quality documentation.\nExperience with electrical and instrumentation installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and turnover.\nStrong documentation skills, including inspection records, test packages, NCRs, punch lists, corrective actions, and quality metrics.\nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nHigh commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and field execution.\nAbility to travel to project sites as required.\nSatisfactory completion of a background screen.\nPreferred Experience\nPermian Basin, midstream, upstream, downstream, terminal, gas processing, pipeline, power, or heavy industrial project experience.\nExperience with switchgear, MCCs, transformers, grounding, cable tray, raceway, terminations, torque documentation, megger testing, continuity testing, and energization packages.\nExperience with instrumentation and controls quality, including loop checks, calibration records, instrument index verification, I/O checkout, P&ID walkdowns, control panels, FAT/SAT documentation, and commissioning support.\nExperience coordinating electrical acceptance testing or third-party testing agencies.\nExperience supporting quality programs aligned with ISO 9001, ASQ, ANSI, or formal corporate quality management systems.\nExperience leading quality personnel across multiple projects or divisions.\nPreferred Certifications\nTexas Master Electrician License or equivalent Master Electrical License.\nOSHA 30 Construction.\nCurrent NFPA 70E training.\nNFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional.\nASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.\nICC/IAEI Commercial Electrical Inspector or Electrical Plans Examiner.\nNETA Electrical Testing Technician, preferably Level III or IV.\nISA Certified Control Systems Technician or NCCER Instrumentation.\nFirst Aid / CPR / AED.\nProject-specific credentials such as H2S, PEC SafeLand/SafeGulf, TWIC, API 1169, or client-required site orientations.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.\nAbility to walk active project sites, industrial facilities, and laydown yards.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and access field work areas.\nAbility to carry up to 50 pounds when needed.\nMust be physically mobile and able to support field-based project activities.\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nThe ideal candidate is a senior E&I quality professional with industrial construction experience, strong electrical technical credibility, and the ability to manage quality execution across multiple projects.
