Commercial HVAC\nLocation: Raleigh, NC\nPay Range: $30.00-$38.00/hour (DOE)\nJob Type: Full-Time | Commercial Construction\nAbout the Opportunity\nWe are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Lead Installer to lead installation crews on commercial and industrial HVAC construction projects throughout the Triangle, NC area.\nThis hands-on leadership position is ideal for an experienced HVAC installer or sheet metal professional who enjoys leading field teams, coordinating installations, troubleshooting jobsite challenges, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.\nThe ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience supervising small installation crews.\nKey Responsibilities\nCommercial HVAC Installation & Leadership\nLead a crew of approximately 4-5 HVAC installers on commercial construction projects.\nInstall commercial HVAC/R equipment, ductwork, piping, and related mechanical systems.\nRead and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation layouts.\nCoordinate ductwork installation, equipment setting, and mechanical system installations.\nPerform quality inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and manufacturer requirements.\nTroubleshoot installation challenges and implement corrective solutions.\nCoordinate daily work activities with supervisors, project managers, and other trades.\nTrain and mentor junior installers while promoting productivity and quality workmanship.\nEquipment Installation & Rigging\nSupport rigging and installation of commercial HVAC equipment using cranes, lifts, and other machinery.\nEnsure equipment is properly positioned, secured, and installed according to specifications.\nFollow established rigging procedures and jobsite safety requirements.\nIdentify potential installation conflicts and communicate solutions to field leadership.\nSafety & Quality\nPromote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.\nIdentify and address jobsite hazards.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.\nEnsure installations are completed accurately to minimize rework.\nCommunicate project progress, material needs, and scheduling concerns to management.\nQualifications\n5+ years of commercial HVAC or sheet metal installation experience required.\nExperience leading or supervising commercial HVAC installation crews.\nStrong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, airflow, and installation methods.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical and architectural drawings.\nExperience with rigging, equipment setting, and construction site coordination.\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nValid driver's license required.\nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to pass required background screening and drug testing.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEPA Universal Certification.\nWelding and fabrication experience.\nExperience with large commercial or industrial HVAC projects.\nPrevious Lead Installer or Foreman experience.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nField-based position on active commercial construction sites.\nIndoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.\nFrequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling.\nAbility to lift and move materials weighing 50-100+ lbs., using appropriate assistance or equipment when needed.\nExposure to mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and construction environments.\nFlexibility for overtime, weekends, and occasional travel based on project schedules.\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompetitive pay of $30.00-$38.00/hour, based on experience.\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance.\n 401(k) with company match.\nCompany-paid short-term disability insurance.\nCompany-paid life insurance.\nLong-term disability coverage.\nOngoing technical training and professional development.\nCareer advancement and leadership opportunities.\nStable commercial construction project work.\nWhy Join Our Team?\nLead commercial HVAC installation crews on challenging projects.\nWork with an established mechanical contractor committed to safety and quality.\nDevelop leadership skills and mentor less-experienced installers.\nGain exposure to complex commercial HVAC systems and installation techniques.\nBuild a long-term career with opportunities for advancement.\nWork Authorization\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.\nThis employer does not provide current or future visa sponsorship or transfer sponsorship for employment.\nApply today to take the next step in your commercial HVAC installation career and lead a team delivering high-quality mechanical construction projects throughout Charlotte, NC.\nEqual Opportunity Employer.
