This position works closely with project management, craft personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and site-specific safety requirements.\nThe successful candidate will serve as a visible field presence, proactively identifying hazards, coaching personnel, conducting inspections, facilitating training, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.\nEssential Responsibilities\n· Conduct daily field safety inspections and audits.\n· Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and implement corrective actions.\n· Lead and facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site orientations.\n· Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety requirements.\n· Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Safe Work Permits.\n· Monitor high-risk activities including:\no Confined Space Entry\no Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)\no Hot Work\no Excavation & Trenching\no Critical Lifts\no Fall Protection\no Energized Electrical Work\n· Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage events.\n· Prepare incident reports and root cause analyses.\n· Track corrective actions and verify closure.\n· Conduct subcontractor safety evaluations and compliance reviews.\n· Maintain site safety documentation, training records, and inspection logs.\n· Participate in client safety meetings and audits.\n· Assist project leadership in developing site-specific safety plans.\n· Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and mentoring rather than enforcement alone.\n· Support emergency response planning and drills.\nRequired Qualifications\n· High School Diploma or GED required.\n· 3+ years of construction, industrial, refinery, petrochemical, power, or oil & gas safety experience.\n· Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards.\n· Strong communication and leadership skills.\n· Ability to influence safe behaviors at all organizational levels.\n· Experience conducting field audits and incident investigations.\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\n· Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations.\nPreferred Qualifications\n· Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field.\n· OSHA 30 Construction Certification.\n· CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician).\n· CSP (Certified Safety Professional).\n· STSC or OHST certifications.\n· First Aid / CPR / AED Certification.\n· Experience with ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, or client contractor-management systems.\nPhysical Requirements\n· Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods.\n· Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work platforms.\n· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.\n· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.\n· Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, gloves, and fall protection
