The Director will lead and develop engineering managers and software engineers while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, Data Engineering, Security, and business leaders to translate business priorities into effective technical solutions.\nThe ideal candidate has experience leading engineering organizations in an Agile/Scrum environment and a strong understanding of modern cloud-based application and data architectures. Experience leading teams that develop solutions utilizing Snowflake, cloud technologies, APIs, data integration, and modern software engineering practices is highly desirable.\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Leadership & Strategy\nLead, develop, and mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and software engineers across multiple teams.\nEstablish and execute engineering strategies that align technology investments with product and business objectives.\nProvide technical leadership across complex initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams and technology domains.\nMaintain sufficient technical depth to effectively participate in architecture, application design, data architecture, security, scalability, and engineering discussions.\nPartner with Product Management, Architecture, Data Engineering, Security, and business stakeholders to define technical priorities and delivery roadmaps.\nDrive technical decision-making while balancing scalability, maintainability, performance, security, cost, and speed to market.\nEstablish meaningful engineering metrics and use them to improve delivery predictability, software quality, team effectiveness, and operational performance.\nAgile Software Development\nLead engineering teams operating within an Agile/Scrum product development environment.\nPromote effective Agile practices, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, daily collaboration, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.\nPartner with Product leaders and Product Owners to maintain alignment between product priorities, technical requirements, engineering capacity, and delivery commitments.\nCreate accountability around commitments and the definition of done while encouraging teams to continuously improve development practices.\nIdentify and remove organizational or technical barriers that impact engineering velocity and delivery.\nUse Agile and engineering metrics to identify trends, improve predictability, and support data-driven decision-making.\nSoftware Architecture & Development\nProvide technical oversight for the design and development of scalable enterprise and SaaS applications.\nChampion modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, observability, DevOps, and secure software development.\nPartner with architects and senior engineers to establish engineering standards, reusable patterns, and technical best practices.\nGuide teams in addressing technical debt and balancing short-term product needs with long-term platform sustainability.\nEnsure solutions meet appropriate standards for availability, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.\nCloud, Data & Snowflake\nLead software engineering teams building applications and services that integrate with Snowflake and modern cloud-based data platforms.\nProvide leadership around the integration of application, data, API, and analytics architectures.\nPartner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams on data accessibility, application integration, data quality, performance, and governance.\nDevelop teams capable of effectively working with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Azure Data Factory, APIs, and cloud-native services.\nUnderstand the architectural considerations involved in building software applications that consume, process, and interact with large-scale cloud data platforms.\nPromote effective performance, security, access-control, and cost-management practices across cloud and data solutions.\nPeople & Organizational Leadership\nRecruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing engineering talent.\nBuild leadership capability among engineering managers, technical leads, and senior individual contributors.\nEstablish clear expectations and accountability for technical quality, execution, collaboration, and professional development.\nConduct regular performance and development discussions and create opportunities for career growth.\nFoster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.\nHelp design engineering team structures that support current business priorities while positioning the organization for future growth.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n10+ years of progressive software engineering or technology experience, including significant experience developing enterprise or SaaS applications.\n5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including responsibility for engineering managers and/or multiple software development teams.\nDemonstrated experience leading teams in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.\nExperience leading teams responsible for the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support of production software applications.\nExperience with modern cloud-based software and data architectures.\nExperience leading teams developing applications or data solutions utilizing Snowflake.\nStrong understanding of APIs, databases, data integration, distributed systems, and modern application architectures.\nExperience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira and Git-based source control.\nDemonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical strategies and execution plans.\nProven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple engineering teams and business stakeholders.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Microsoft Azure and technologies such as Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, API Management, Service Bus, or Azure Data Lake.\nExperience with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Python, and modern data engineering/data integration architectures.\nExperience leading engineering organizations within healthcare technology, healthcare revenue cycle, finance, analytics, or other highly regulated environments.\nExperience developing cloud-based SaaS products at enterprise scale.\nUnderstanding of healthcare security, privacy, interoperability, or compliance requirements, including HIPAA and healthcare data
