As part of our Powertrain department, you'll work alongside passionate engineers developing world-leading technology for the next generation of high-performance vehicles.\nWe are currently looking for a Battery Algorithms Software Engineer to join our High Voltage and Battery team, where you will develop advanced algorithms and software for Koenigsegg's next generation of high-voltage battery systems.\nIn this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced battery software for high-voltage systems, working with modelling, simulation, and software development. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development process, from concept and testing to software integration and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities:\nYou will be responsible for developing and validating battery algorithms and embedded software for high-voltage battery systems, supporting the full development cycle from battery modelling and algorithm development to software integration, testing, diagnostics, and vehicle-level validation.\nYou will:\nDevelop battery models and estimation methods based on cell and pack test data.\nDevelop and maintain algorithms for State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), State of Power (SoP), energy availability, and battery diagnostics.\nTranslate mathematical models and prototype algorithms into production-quality embedded C code.\nOptimize algorithms for execution time, memory usage, numerical stability, and embedded hardware constraints.\nDefine software requirements, interfaces, diagnostics, acceptance criteria, and verification methods.\nDevelop test plans, set up test environments, and perform software and algorithm testing.\nAnalyze estimation errors and unexpected battery behaviour, and implement improvements to enhance algorithm performance and robustness.\nSupport BMS software integration, testing, release, and continuous improvement.\nDevelop and support OBD diagnostic functionality for battery systems.\n Requirements:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in battery modelling and SoX algorithm development.\nStrong programming skills in C, preferably with experience in embedded or real-time systems.\nGood understanding of lithium-ion battery behaviour, including OCV, internal resistance, temperature dependence, ageing, and power capability.\nAbility to analyse large test datasets and translate physical battery behaviour into robust algorithms.\nExperience with software testing, debugging, version control, and structured software development practices.\nA systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving.\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.\nExperience with MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation.\nStrong communication skills in English.\nMeritorious experience:\nPrevious experience with automotive battery management systems (BMS) or electrified powertrains.\nExperience using MATLAB and Simulink for modelling, algorithm development, data analysis, or model-based design.\nKnowledge of estimation techniques such as Kalman filtering, observers, parameter identification, and adaptive algorithms.\nApplications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, so don't wait to apply.
