You will play a central role in ensuring high-quality engineering solutions while driving collaboration across projects, teams, and stakeholders.\nYour role:\nAs Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.\nYou will act as the technical lead within the mechanical discipline, ensuring that solutions meet customer requirements, comply with relevant standards, and are delivered on time and with the expected level of quality.\nWorking closely with Project Managers, Electrical and Software Engineers, customers, suppliers, and external partners, you will help turn complex requirements into practical and reliable automation solutions.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nLeading and coordinating mechanical engineering activities across projects\nDeveloping and reviewing mechanical concepts, layouts, and detailed designs• Ensuring compliance with machinery directives, safety standards, and internal engineering guidelines\nManaging and supporting internal engineers and external engineering resources\nConducting design reviews, technical evaluations, and risk assessments\nProviding technical leadership and mentoring within the Mechanical Engineering team\nSupporting procurement activities through technical specifications and supplier evaluations\nEnsuring timely delivery of engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, calculations, and technical reports\nSupporting manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required\nYour profile:\nYou are an experienced mechanical engineer who combines strong technical expertise with natural leadership skills. You enjoy taking ownership, setting direction, and supporting colleagues while remaining hands-on when needed. Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across different stages, from design and procurement through manufacturing and installation. You maintain a forward-looking overview of priorities, dependencies and resource requirements, ensuring a balanced workload and early communication of potential capacity constraints or deadline impacts.\nYou are comfortable working in a project-driven environment where priorities may change and where collaboration across disciplines and cultures is key to success.\nWe imagine that you have:\nYou hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline and bring 7-10 years of experience within mechanical design and development of customer-specific machinery or automation solutions. You have a proven track record as a Lead Engineer or technical lead on complex engineering projects and possess strong experience with 3D CAD systems such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools.\nIn addition, you have a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, material selection, and tolerancing, combined with experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional project collaboration. Knowledge of machine safety, CE marking, risk assessments, and relevant industry standards is expected. Finally, you are a strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English skills.
