Join the home for entrepreneurs!\nThe Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of various material handling equipment. This equipment includes conveyors, bulk feed systems, sortation systems, and mail sorting machinery, in addition to other machines of comparable complexity. The Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects are executed within established timelines, adhere to budgetary limitations, and meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to drive projects from concept through to successful implementation, thereby contributing significantly to the organization's objectives.\nYour role in our team\nLead the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through production, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and specifications.\nCollaborate with Sales, Product Owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate customer and business requirements into detailed equipment designs and manufacturing packages.\nPerform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs, optimize system performance, and support complex mechanized system proposals.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, assembly packages, product manuals, and integration guides.\nPartner closely with Electrical and Controls Engineering teams to support product design, equipment selection, and system integration activities.\nEngage with suppliers and customers to support design reviews, equipment procurement, technical documentation, and project execution using SAP and other engineering tools.\nAnalyze operational and engineering data related to system performance, productivity, throughput, and costs to drive continuous improvement and innovation.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices.\nYour profile \nProven experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems and components, including proficiency with engineering analysis and simulation tools.\nExpertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, and other 3D CAD software for detailed design, modeling, and documentation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges and implement effective solutions.\nDemonstrated ability to lead projects, manage budgets and timelines, identify project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.\nExperience mentoring and guiding junior engineers while fostering technical development and collaboration within engineering teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to meet the requirements necessary to obtain a U.S. Sensitive Security Clearance.\nEducation and Experience Qualifications \nYou hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\nYou have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.\nYou have experience with mechanical analysis tools and product lifecycle management.\nEligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
