While direct Marketplace experience isn’t essential, a genuine interest in online retail, strong commercial instincts and a drive to uncover growth opportunities will set you up for success.\nThis position suits an ambitious and commercially focused Category/Marketplace professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to the continued expansion of our Marketplace business.\nIf you're looking to take the next step in your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to build marketplace expertise within an ASX-listed business and make a real impact on what millions of customers see and shop every day!\nIn this role you'll be responsible for:\nOwn the Marketplace promotional calendar: planning, coordination and making sure everything goes live on time.\nSet up, schedule and QA campaigns and promotions so they’re accurate and delivered on time.\nRun our biggest sale events, including Click Frenzy, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and EOFY, plus ad-hoc events.\nWork with our central Marketing team on creative, EDM and onsite placements, and coordinate seller participation in marketing opportunities.\nReport on promotion performance and lead post-event reviews so each campaign beats the last.\nManage promotional pricing and discount uploads for the Category Managers.\nAudit the catalogue (titles, images, categorisation and Kogan First) and audit sellers to spot underperformers and fast growers.\nAdvise Category Managers on demand, supply and the marketability of products.\nFind and implement process improvements across Kogan Marketplace.\nTo be successful in this role, you should be:\nUniversity Degree qualified in a relevant field (Business, Commerce, Marketing etc)\nCommercially savvy, with demonstrated experience and success within a commercial role, preferably within Category Management in a Retail or eCommerce environment\nHighly analytical and logical, and always looking for new areas of opportunity\nAble to develop strong relationships, through excellent communication and negotiation skills\nHave developed exceptional time management skills, being able to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines successfully\nTech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity\nReady to challenge, be challenged, and work within our highly disruptive business model\nWhy Kogan.com?\nWork with an incredible team to solve important challenges, helping to drive Australia and New Zealand’s eCommerce future\nYour role has a lot of ownership, autonomy and little red tape.
