If you thrive in environments that value clarity, ownership, and bold thinking, you’ll fit right in.\nAbout The Role\nWe’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our team for a role to work remotely based in Canada.\nReporting to the Director, Financial Accounting & Reporting, you’re going to be a part of a team that keeps KOHO’s books accurate and produces the financial reporting that our leadership, investors and regulators rely on. As KOHO works toward becoming a Schedule 1 bank, this team is building the strong, reliable foundation a regulated bank needs.\nThis is a hands-on individual contributor role, with no direct reports.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nYou’ll be the go-to expert for complex accounting areas, including tax, owning them from start to finish and sharing what you know with the team.\n\nYou’ll be owning our expected credit loss (ECL) accounting, which is how we estimate and record the losses we expect on the money we lend.\n\nYou’ll be helping set up the accounting for new products, so they are recorded correctly in our systems from day one.\n\nYou’ll be automating how our systems connect, so financial data flows into our books with less manual work.\n\nYou’ll be strengthening our processes and controls, and helping build the accounting foundation for KOHO Bank.\n\nWho You Are\nA CPA (or equivalent accounting designation).\n\nYou have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a senior role where you worked with little supervision.\n\nYou have a strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and how to apply them.\n\nYou’re a clear communicator who can explain the numbers to people who aren’t accountants.\n\nYou’re comfortable with change and enjoy building in a fast-moving environment.\n\nThe posted salary range for this role is $135,000 - $170,000 CAD / year.\nAt KOHO, we are dedicated to providing pay transparency to all candidates.
