Let’s fix it together.\nWe live and breathe gaming: You’ll get to work with the biggest game studios and on the biggest gaming PE and VC deals.\nYour Role\nAs a Senior Software Developer with a data engineering focus, you’ll be at the heart of our data platform, ensuring that petabyte-scale gaming data flows reliably from ingestion to insight. You’ll work alongside data scientists, product managers, and fellow developers to build and maintain the pipelines and backend systems that power our ML-driven analytics.\nData Pipelines: Design, build and maintain reliable, scalable pipelines that ingest, transform and serve large volumes of gaming data to our ML models and customer-facing platform.\nData Quality: Build the validation, monitoring and observability that keep our data trustworthy - investment-grade predictions depend on it.\nLead: Take responsibility for scoping, planning and estimating new features and unblocking and enabling the team to deliver quality products.\nPerformance Optimisation: Identify and resolve bottlenecks across pipelines and backend services to build and maintain a high-performing platform.\nLearn: Proactively grow your knowledge of the game analytics domain and the tech stack we use now and could use in future.\nWe are a pre-Series A startup. Part of this role is being a startup operator, executing your work and helping build the company simultaneously.\nRequirements\nLocation: Remote-first (Cape Town), with access to in-office collaboration and several company-wide gatherings throughout the year.\nExperience: 5+ years of hands-on experience building production systems, ideally data-intensive ones.
